Bhopal gas tragedy victim-turned-activist Abdul Jabbar dies
Social activist Abdul Jabbar, who fought for the victims and survivors of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy died on Thursday. Jabbar, a victim of the gas tragedy himself, had lost 50% of his vision and suffered lung fibrosis. In 1987, he founded Bhopal Gas Peedit Mahila Udyog Sangathan, an organisation that fought for the cause of the victims.
