Biden to hold 'Summit for Democracy' with world leaders: White House

US President Joe Biden will host a virtual summit with leaders from democratic nations on December 9 and 10 as part of a sustained effort to shore up the foundation of such governments, the White House said. The summit will focus on challenges and opportunities facing democracies. It'll feature heads of state, representatives from civil society and philanthropy, among others.
