Bihar man refuses to return wrongfully credited ₹5.5 lakh, says 'I thought PM sent it'

Bihar Police have arrested a man named Ranjit Das in Khagaria district for refusing to return ₹5.5 lakh he received in his account due to an error by Gramin Bank. Das said, "I thought as PM Narendra Modi had promised to deposit ₹15 lakh in bank accounts, it could be the first instalment." He added he has spent the money.
