Bihar POCSO court hears case, convicts & sentences rape accused in 1 day

Cited to be the fastest verdict by any POCSO court in India, a court in Bihar recorded witnesses, arguments, and convicted an accused by issuing the judgement in one day. The court sentenced the man to life imprisonment for raping an eight-year-old girl and imposed a fine of ₹50,000 on him while ordering ₹7 lakh as compensation for the survivor.
