The Bihar Cabinet led by CM Nitish Kumar approved the renaming of Gaya district as Gaya Ji on Friday. The cabinet also approved compensation of ₹50 lakh to families of those who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation during Operation Sindoor. Dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners has also been increased by 2 per cent.
