Bihar's COVID-19 deaths reach 12,000 after data revised again

The COVID-19 death tally in Bihar reached 12,089, an increase of 2,425 as compared to December 2, after data was revised for the second time in nearly six months. In June, Bihar had revised the COVID-19 death count and added 3,951 backlog fatalities to its total. "Applications for seeking compensation of ₹4 lakh...had been lying...in districts," state Health Minister said.
