Bihar's ex-minister Gayatri Devi passes away at the age of 80

Former minister of Bihar, Gayatri Devi, passed away at the age of 80 in Patna. She was reportedly ill for the last few months. Saying that he is saddened by her demise, state CM Nitish Kumar tweeted, "Her demise has caused irreparable damage in the political and social sphere." Her last rites will be performed with state honours, he added.
