Bill Gates seeks meeting with Chinese Prez Xi to discuss AI risks

Bill Gates is seeking a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping later this year to discuss global efforts to mitigate AI risks. Gates believes China could agree to restrict the release of potentially dangerous AI models if the US takes the initiative first. He also proposed that countries monitor AI’s ability to create molecules and carry out biological attacks.
