Bill Gates starts process of shutting down Gates Foundation

Microsoft Co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates has started the process of shutting down one of the world's most influential nonprofit organisations, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The foundation, which will close by 2045, is expected to spend nearly $200 billion before officially closing its doors. It also plans to cut up to 500 of its roughly 2,375 jobs by 2030.
