Bill to quit Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty submitted in Iran

A bill proposing Iran's exit from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) has been submitted to Iran parliament's legislative body. The proposal also includes support for a new international pact with allied nations to develop peaceful nuclear technology, Iranian lawmaker Malek Shariati said. The country's parliament has not convened since the start of the Middle East war.
