Billionaire Chey Tae-won ordered to pay ex-wife $640 mn in divorce case

South Korean court has ordered billionaire Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Hynix's parent company, to pay his former wife, Roh Soh-yeong, 944 billion won ($640 million) in their divorce case. The settlement is lower than the 1.38 trillion won awarded by an appeals court in 2024. The divorce and damages were finalised earlier, leaving only the asset settlement in dispute.
