Billionaire McCourt's non-profit offers to buy TikTok's US assets

Billionaire entrepreneur Frank McCourt's internet advocacy nonprofit Project Liberty and its partners have submitted a proposal to ByteDance to buy TikTok's US assets. The move comes ahead of the January 19 deadline by which ByteDance has to sell the platform's US assets or face a ban in the country. The consortium did not disclose the value of the proposal.
