Billionaire Peter Thiel asks ultra-wealthy to 'unsign' Bill Gates' pledge to donate wealth

Billionaire Peter Thiel called The Giving Pledge, founded by Warren Buffett, Bill and Melinda French Gates, an "Epstein-adjacent Boomer club". He told NYT he has "strongly discouraged" ultra-wealthy individuals from donating most of their wealth under the pledge and even encouraged some to "unsign". Only four people reportedly joined in 2024, compared with 113 families in its first five years.
