Bina Modi reappointed as Godfrey Phillips MD, son Samir retires from board

Bina Modi has been reappointed as Godfrey Phillips MD with 86% shareholder votes while her daughter Charu Modi has been appointed as Executive Director with 87% votes. Bina's son Samir, who accused her of planning an assault on him at a board meeting, has retired from the company's board. This comes amid an ₹11,000-crore inheritance dispute in the Modi family.
