Biocon slashes hundreds of jobs, offers severance: Report

Bengaluru-based biopharma firm Biocon is letting go of a few hundred employees as it nears the integration of its biologics and generics businesses, Moneycontrol reported. It described the move as organisational rationalisation rather than cost‑driven layoffs. Affected staff received mutual separation deals with three months' pay as severance. The reduction has been underway since early March.
