Biscuit, packaged water brand banned in Kashmir over safety issues
Authorities in Kashmir have banned the sale of Ajwa packaged water and Butter Delite biscuits after food safety tests found the water contaminated with E coli and coliform bacteria, and the biscuits had sulphite levels above permissible limits. This action follows a rotten meat scandal, in which rotten and unlabelled meat was supplied to the Valley. This prompted intensified inspections.
