Bitcoin rose to a record high above $94,000 fuelled by a report that US President-elect Donald Trump's social media company Trump Media and Technology Group was in talks to buy crypto trading firm Bakkt. Trump's company, which runs his social media platform Truth Social, is close to an all-stock acquisition of Bakkt, The Financial Times reported.
