Bitcoin jumps above $71,000 after US-Iran ceasefire
The world's largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, jumped over 4% to trade above the $71,000 level on Wednesday after the US and Iran announced a two-week ceasefire. Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, also surged over 7% to trade at roughly $2,250, according to CoinMarketCap data. However, Bitcoin remains 43% below its all-time high of $126,198.07 in October 2025.
