Bitcoin miners steal $3-million electricity in China; 22 arrested

East China police have busted a ring of illegal bitcoin miners who stole nearly $3-million worth of electricity for mining the digital currency, state news agency Xinhua reported. The police found the criminal gang had rented nine factories with installed mining equipment after a two-month investigation and arrested 22 people. They also confiscated around 4,000 mining devices.
