The price of Bitcoin plunged as much as 10.7% to $42,522 on Monday, reaching its lowest level since the beginning of August. The development came as a broad selloff sparked by concerns over the spillover risk to the global economy from Chinese property group Evergrande's troubles. Ether also fell over 10% below $3,000 for the first time since early August.
