Bitcoin surges above $58,000 after Visa allows crypto settlement
Bitcoin and Ethereum jumped on Monday after Visa said it'll allow the use of cryptocurrency to settle transactions on its payment network. Bitcoin rose by 4.5% to hit a one-week high of $58,300. The world's largest cryptocurrency had hit a record high above $61,000 earlier. Tesla, Mastercard, Bank of New York Mellon and others have embraced cryptocurrencies in recent months.
