BJP announces 27 candidates for TN polls; Annamalai not on list

BJP on Friday announced 27 candidates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, excluding former state chief K Annamalai, who had reportedly agreed to contest from any of the six segments in Coimbatore parliamentary constituency. Of these, only Coimbatore North went to BJP, where it has fielded Vanathi Srinivasan. Ex-Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will contest from Mylapore.
