BJP candidate withdraws from Bankipur by-poll, was set to face Prashant Kishor

BJP leader Abhishek Kumar Sinha on Friday withdrew his candidature from the Bankipur Assembly by-election in Bihar, citing family reasons. However, he said he would continue serving the party as a worker. The BJP has fielded Neeraj Kumar Sinha as its new candidate for the by-election. Notably, Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor is also contesting from Bankipur Assembly constituency.
