BJP challenges ex-MLA to prove bribery claim in K'taka land row

In Karnataka, a political confrontation has escalated in Puttur after MLA Ashok Kumar Rai alleged that former MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor had accepted ₹2 lakh each from 47 individuals for illegal land sanctions related to the Mahalingeshwara Temple issue. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has dismissed the allegations and issued a counter-challenge to produce proof.
