BJP is ‘vilifying’ Jawaharlal Nehru’s legacy: Sonia Gandhi

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi accused BJP of trying to "denigrate, distort, demean and defame" India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru. "The project to vilify Jawaharlal Nehru is the main objective of the ruling establishment today," she said. Her remarks came days after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh alleged that Nehru wanted to utilise public funds to build Babri Masjid.
