BJP joins AIADMK and DMDK boycott of Erode East by-election

BJP Tamil Nadu announced it will join AIADMK and DMDK in boycotting the Erode East Assembly by-election on February 5. BJP State President K Annamalai accused the ruling DMK of electoral malpractice in a statement on X. The election aims to fill the seat vacated by INC leader and former Union Minister EVKS Elangovan’s death on 14 December 2024.
