BJP-led Mahayuti leads in 56 wards of BMC, Thackerays in 32, show early trends

As counting for 227 seats in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections in Mumbai is underway, the BJP-led Mahayuti is leading in 56 wards, according to early trends shared by NDTV, while Thackeray brothers (Sena-UBT and MNS) are leading in 32. Congress is leading in 5 wards. The election for India's richest civic body was conducted on January 15.
