BJP-led Mahayuti sweeps Maha local body polls, wins 207 of 288 posts

The Mahayuti alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP swept the elections to 288 municipal councils and nagar panchayats by winning 207 posts of presidents of local bodies on Sunday. The Opposition's Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance won 44 posts. BJP emerged as the single-largest winner with 117 municipal president posts. "Maharashtra stands firmly with development!" PM Modi said.
