BJP MP gets award from WB govt, sparks party-switch speculations

BJP MP Ananta Maharaj was honoured with the Banga Bibhushan, a state civilian award, by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee at an event in Kolkata, sparking speculations about his possible shift to the Trinamool Congress. After receiving the award, the Rajya Sabha MP criticised his own party, saying the BJP has done nothing for Cooch Behar.
