Ending months of speculation, BJP appointed Satish Upadhyay, a first-time councillor from Malviya Nagar, as the new chief of its Delhi unit late on Tuesday. He will take over on Wednesday from Union health minister Harsh Vardhan, who was appointed state chief just before the Lok Sabha polls as a stopgap arrangement.
