BJP protests as kin of ex-AAP councillor who joined BJP arrested in Chandigarh

BJP workers staged a protest in Chandigarh after the sister-in-law of Suman Sharma, an AAP councillor who recently joined the BJP, was arrested by the Punjab Police ahead of the Chandigarh mayoral elections. “The mayoral election is a challenge for them because two of their councillors have joined us recently…so they did this,” Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla said.
