BJP's Agnimitra Paul wins Asansol Dakshin seat by 40,839 votes

BJP candidate Agnimitra Paul has secured victory in the West Bengal Assembly polls from the Asansol Dakshin constituency on Monday. She defeated Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Tapas Banerjee by a margin of 40,839 votes, according to Election Commission. Paul, who also won the same seat in 2021, secured 1,19,582 votes, while Banerjee polled 78,743 votes.
