BJP's Himanta files ₹500 cr defamation suit against Gaurav Gogoi & other Congress leaders

Senior BJP leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has filed a ₹500 crore defamation suit against Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi, Jitendra Singh and Bhupesh Baghel. The development came after Assam Congress chief Gaurav Gogoi alleged that Himanta's family had grabbed around 12,000 bighas of land across the state. Assam CM has termed the allegations "false".
