BJP's MLA count rises from 773 to 1806 in 13 years

According to data sourced from ECI, BJP's MLA count has risen from 773 in September 2013 to 1,806 in May 2026. The party had no MLAs in West Bengal, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Telangana in 2013. These states now have 207, 3, 36, 2, 2 and 7 BJP MLAs, respectively. In UP, the count rose from 47 to 257.
