BJP shortlists Akshaye Khanna for seat his father represented

The BJP has shortlisted actor Akshaye Khanna for Punjab's Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat which the actor's father, Vinod Khanna, represented. "The party feels...if Kavita Khanna has no objections then Akshaye would bring...Bollywood charm as well his father's memories to good effect," a BJP leader said. He added that Akshaye will be a "tough match" for the sitting MP Sunil Jakhar.
