BJP suspends leader who fired gunshots to mark PM's 'light diyas' appeal

Manju Tiwari, president of Balrampur (UP) unit of BJP Mahila Morcha was suspended by the party for indiscipline, after she fired gunshots to mark PM Narendra Modi's appeal to light lamps to show solidarity against COVID-19. A video showing Tiwari engaging in celebratory firing surfaced on social media. Tiwari was booked under sections of IPC and Arms Act.
