BJP takes early lead in by-polls held in Ayodhya's Milkipur

BJP's Chandrabhanu Paswan is leading over SP's Ajit Prasad, son of Awadhesh Prasad, in the Milkipur by-polls, with a margin of over 10,000 votes. The Milkipur seat fell vacant after Awadhesh Prasad, who was elected on SP ticket in 2022, resigned after being elected as MP in the Lok Sabha elections. The seat is part of the Ayodhya district.
