BJP wins 31 of 60 Manipur seats, set to retain power in the state

BJP on Thursday won 31 out of the total 60 Assembly seats in Manipur, making it clear that it will retain power in the northeastern state. Earlier while thanking the voters, CM N Biren Singh said, "We assure you that this time we would double our effort." He claimed he would urge the Centre to remove AFSPA from Manipur.
