BJP wins a Lok Sabha seat from Kerala for the first time in history

BJP has won a Lok Sabha seat from Kerala for the first time in history. BJP leader Suresh Gopi won the Thrissur seat in the Lok Sabha 2024 elections, defeating CPI's VS Sunil Kumar by a margin of 74,686 votes. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress' TN Prathapan had won the Thrissur seat.
