BJP won 140 out of 186 seats in Goa Panchayat elections: CM Sawant

BJP has won over 140 seats out of 186 seats in the Goa Panchayat elections, state CM Pramod Sawant said on Friday. The state BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanavade told ANI that this is the "first time" in Goa Panchayat elections that "any party has won so many seats". Goa had reported a 78.7% voter turnout in the Panchayat elections.
