BJP's Ashwini Laxman Jagtap wins Chinchwad bypoll by 36,168 votes

BJP's Ashwini Laxman Jagtap has won Pune's Chinchwad Assembly bypoll by defeating NCP candidate Nana Kate by a margin of 36,168 votes. Ashwini is now set to become the first female MLA to represent the constituency in Maharashtra Assembly. State Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said that Ashwini's win is a moving tribute to her husband late BJP MLA Laxman Jagtap.
