Black & female candidates who failed Maryland Police tests to get $2.75 million

The Department of Justice announced that the Maryland Department of State Police (MDSP) will pay $2.75 million in back pay to applicants who failed the tests due to discrimination. In a suit, the United States alleged that MDSP's written and physical tests discriminated against Black and female candidates respectively. Notably, MDSP also has to adopt tests that aren't discriminatory.
