Black man George Floyd's family to get ₹196 crore over his death in US

US' Minneapolis on Friday agreed to pay $27 million (over ₹196 crore) to settle a lawsuit by family of George Floyd, the Black man who died after a police officer kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes. Family's attorney said it was the largest pre-trial settlement of a wrongful death lawsuit in US history. His death sparked violent protests.
