Private equity firm Blackstone India has entered into a definitive agreement with US-based tech firm Hewlett-Packard (HP) to acquire its stake in Bengaluru-based IT services firm Mphasis for up to $1.1 billion (₹7,071 crore). HP currently owns a 60.5% stake in Mphasis. Notably, the deal represents the US-based firm's largest acquisition in India.
