BlendJet recalls 48 lakh portable blenders over risk of fire, cuts

US-based company BlendJet has recalled about 48 lakh portable blenders over concerns that they can overheat or catch fire and the blender blades can break off, posing fire and laceration hazards to consumers. The recall includes select BlendJet 2 blenders. BlendJet received 329 reports of the blades breaking while in use, and an additional 17 reports of overheating or fires.
