Blind beggar, unaware of demonetisation, seeks exchange of ₹65,000 savings in TN

A 65-year-old visually impaired man in Tamil Nadu has filed a petition with the Krishnagiri district collector's office to help him exchange ₹65,000 in old, demonetised notes as he was unaware of demonetisation. Chinnakannu came to know about demonetisation recently, five years after it was announced. He said the money is his life's savings which he collected through begging.
