Blood test may detect Alzheimer’s years before symptoms: Study
A study published in The Lancet suggests blood biomarkers such as phosphorylated tau and amyloid-beta may help identify Alzheimer’s-related changes years before clear symptoms appear. Researchers found some participants with these markers also performed worse on memory and thinking tests. However, more research is needed before such blood tests can be used routinely in clinical practice.
