Bloodbath in US stock markets; Nasdaq, S&P, Dow slump
Nasdaq led a selloff among Wall Street's main indexes on Monday, slumping over 3% to a near six-month low. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped over 378.81 points, or 0.89%, to 42,422.91. The 500-stock S&P dropped to its lowest levels since September 2024. The fall came after US President Donald Trump refused to rule out recession following his tariff actions.
