Bluefin tuna fish sold for ₹6.5 crore at Japan auction, pic surfaces

A giant bluefin tuna fish was sold for ¥114.2 million (over ₹6.5 crore) at the first tuna auction of 2024 in Tokyo's Toyosu fish market. The 238-kg tuna was sold to seafood wholesaler Yamayuki and sushi chain operator Onodera Group. This is the fourth-highest price paid for tuna since records started in 1999 and the highest since the COVID-19 pandemic.
