B'luru hospital dean sacked as COVID victims' bodies found after 15 months

Labour Ministry has removed Bengaluru-based ESIC Hospital's dean Dr Jeetendra Kumar and appointed Dr Renuka Ramaiah in his place. It comes after two COVID-19 victims' bodies were found rotting in the hospital's mortuary, over 15 months after their death in July 2020. The bodies were recovered on November 26 at the hospital's cold storage, when workers went there for cleaning.
